Who they are…
Infinity Foods is a workers co operative based in Brighton in Sussex “dedicated to the provision of an extensive range of vegetarian foods since 1971”.
What they do…
This impressive co operative is celebrating 40 years of trading. They run a café, food shop and provide wholesale products to places like Fuzzi. They believe in providing food that is as natural as possible, free from GM and hydrogenated fats and fair trade and organic accredited. These products are also sourced from companies with high ethical standards so the chain of supply has a positive impact from production to our tables.
Why we think they are great!
We get most of our food selection from Infinity Foods and they have ethics that we admire. They are a business run by and owned by the workers and practice an equitable form of business which is not soley driven by profit margins.
Not only do Infinity Foods trade and build relations with suppliers in developing countries but they are also committed to sourcing produce locally.
Packaging and waste is recycled and reused wherever possible and their energy is sourced from green suppliers.
They give a proportion of their profits to local charities at the end of each year. I suppose you could say Fuzzi thinks Infinity Foods are inspiring!
