Good Energy are an energy supplier, who supply our shop (and home!) electricity from 100% renewable sources.
What they do…
Established in 1999, Good Energy were the first UK company to supply 100% renewable energy. The company is part of the Good Energy Group of which 90% of shareholders are Good Energy customers.
Leading the way with schemes to encourage home generation, Good Energy introduced the HotROCs scheme in 2008, before the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive, which rewarded customers generating their own heat through gas sales. They are committed to helping the UK become 100% renewable by 2050 and recently completed an £11.8m upgrade to their Delabole wind farm, doubling the farms generating capacity.
Why we think they are great!
It’s energy that is Good! There are other companies out there supplying renewable energy but Good Energy are one of the market leaders and they have currently frozen their prices for the second year running, meaning they are now, on average, 2% CHEAPER than the standard tariff of the ’big six’. What more reason do you need to switch?
